Flagler Beach Man Arrested for Soliciting a Child After Joint Investigation Led by FCSO Cyber Crimes/ICAC Unit

Feb 4, 2026 - The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Flagler Beach man following a seven-month joint investigation by the FCSO Cyber Crimes/Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and the Northeast Florida Inter-Agency Child Exploitation and Persons Trafficking Task Force, in which detectives determined the man attempted to solicit a child.

FCSO Named Top Taxpayer Money Saver on Inmate Health Care Costs for Third Year

Feb 2, 2026 - For the third year in a row, Prime Corrections recognized Sheriff Rick Staly and the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office for being the top saver of taxpayer money through the Florida Sheriffs Association’s Offsite Inmate Medical Savings Program. The award was presented during the Florida Sheriffs Association’s 2026 Winter Meeting, where it was announced that FCSO had realized more than $2.08 million in savings over the past year. Since joining the program, FCSO has saved taxpayers nearly $5.27 million.
