Oct 14, 2024 - At 11:33 p.m. on October 10, Sergeant Samuel Bell observed a white Hyundai Genesis make multiple U-turns from the middle lane near the intersection of Belle Terre Parkway and Palm Coast Parkway. Bell conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Stephen Speller of Palm Coast. Speller’s birthday was the same day, and he had just turned 57 years old.

Oct 4, 2024 - On October 3 at about 2:30 a.m., Deputy Caleb Tassey was patrolling the area of Cormorant Court in Palm Coast when he observed a person on a bicycle leaving the area of a home under construction. Deputy Tassey conducted a security check of the home and requested backup. As deputies were clearing the inside of the residence, they observed three people run from the back of the house and into a canal. Deputies pursued them and saw two males and a female jump into the water.
