Palm Coast Man Arrested for Molesting a Minor

Sep 11, 2024 - On September 4, Joseph Thomas Horovsky, 21, of Palm Coast was arrested for sexually touching a child under the age of 12. Flager County Sheriff’s Office Major Case Unit detectives started the investigation in June 2023 when the victim first came forward. The victim told detectives the molestation occurred over the past 2 to 3 years.

Break Up Turns Violent, Ends in Maryland Man's Arrest

Sep 9, 2024 - On Thursday, September 5, the Flagler County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic disturbance in Bunnell. Deputies found the victim at a nearby residence in distress with obvious signs of being attacked. The victim told deputies she had been dating Steven McSwain, 47, of Maryland for about a month.

Man Sentenced to Prison for Secretly Recording Underaged Victim

Sep 5, 2024 - On September 3, Tyler Habdas, 32, was sentenced to five years in prison, followed by eight years of sex offender probation. He was found guilty by a jury in July on five counts of Unlawful Use of a Two-way Communication Device, three counts of Video Voyeurism involving a Victim Under 12, and Child Abuse.

Stolen Cellphones, Jewelry, and Credit Cards Lead to Three Arrests for Narcotics and Recovery of Stolen Property

Aug 29, 2024 - On August 20, a Palm Coast resident reported two cellphones, a tablet, jewelry, and credit cards were taken from her home on Frontier Drive. The victim also told deputies more than $8,000 was charged to the cards before they were canceled and deactivated. The victim stated the suspect, Jody Rogers, 53, of Bunnell took the items.

Aug 28, 2024 - On Tuesday, August 27, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 19-year-old male wanted in Rhode Island after he drove a stolen Ferrari into Flagler County, fled from deputies at dangerous speeds, and attempted to hide at a residence in Palm Coast.

Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Utilizes New Technology to Detect Illegal Drugs & Explosives Safer and Faster

Aug 26, 2024 - The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has a new device in the fight against criminals and to keep deputies safe. The MX908 is a handheld device for the identification of suspected illegal narcotics and explosives, as well as real-time chemical detection. The device can be used to analyze solid, liquid, vapor, and aerosol samples in a matter of minutes.

Aug 22, 2024 - On August 22, around 3 a.m., Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputies were on patrol along Mahogany Boulevard in Daytona North. The deputies noticed a vehicle in a driveway with the lights on and not running and appeared to be unoccupied. Knowing this was uncommon for the residence at that hour, the deputies investigated further.

Sheriff’s Deputy in Training Saves a Life

Jul 19, 2018 - Just after midnight on Tuesday, Deputies responded to a medical call on Kalorama Court in Palm Coast. Deputy Anthony Bifano, a new recruit to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, and his Field Training Officer Deputy Jacob West were first to arrive on scene. A female had called 9-1-1 and reported that her husband was unresponsive and not breathing.

Jul 10, 2018 - The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office does not employ a Dennis Rumble. The phone number used to contact the citizen was 386-401-3719. When actual FCSO Detectives called the number, they found a voicemail set up where the person does in fact represent himself as an employee of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
