Drug House Raided, Four Arrested

Nov 6, 2017 - Sheriff Rick Staly was on the scene with his teams while they conducted the search. A firearm, confirmed stolen from a burglary in the “R” section of Palm Coast, ammunition, Hydromorphone, Alprazolam, methamphetamines, prescription drugs, and drug paraphernalia were all located within the three bedrooms of the residence. Four arrests were made.

Nov 6, 2017 - Matthew Scott Nesbitt, 44, is in custody after a nearly two-and-a-half hour chase through the woods of Palm Coast’s “Z” section after he abandoned a stolen vehicle and threatened deputies with a large open-blade knife. The vehicle was recovered on Zebulahs Trail.

Nov 2, 2017 - The Sheriff’s Police Athletic League (PAL) and Bike Patrol Unit will also host a Kids Bicycle Rodeo and Safety demonstration. Youth up to age 12 will have their bikes inspected by Flagler Beach Bike, Run & Fun. Registration is open from 9:30 to 10 a.m. with instruction and challenges until noon.

Multi-Agency Task Force Dismantles Heroin Ring

Oct 28, 2017 - Flagler County search warrants seized 2 ounces of heroin at 15 Brian Lane and 6.6 ounces of heroin and 3.6 ounces of fentanyl from 11 Burton Place in Palm Coast. Paraphernalia and packaging materials used to distribute illegal drugs were also recovered at the Burton Place address.

Operation Safe Halloween

Oct 26, 2017 - The Sheriff’s Office will have a speed enforcement detail on Halloween day at high crash locations. This detail will focus on speeding and aggressive driving. Patrol units, bicycle patrol, and C.O.P.S. will also have an increased presence on residential roadways where children are trick-or-treating.

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

Oct 24, 2017 - Flagler County residents can discard unused or expired medications during the 2017 National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day event scheduled for Saturday, October 28, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at four locations across the county. Law enforcement officers from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office will staff locations as part of event organized by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Oct 23, 2017 - From October 19 through 22, Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies conducted 252 traffic stops and made six arrests for driving under the influence. There were no traffic fatalities within Flagler County.

UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged with Four Counts of Grand Theft

Oct 21, 2017 - Kelly Ryan Campanella, DOB 3/26/1991, was arrested Friday evening and charged with four counts of grand theft over $300.00 related to the recent trailers thefts. Campanella’s truck was seen on surveillance video at a storage facility in Palm Coast. The video shows the truck entering the facility and leaving with a trailer that was later reported stolen. A thorough investigation revealed that Campanella was responsible for multiple thefts of trailers from storage facilities and properties in Flagler County. He was booked into the Flagler County Detention Facility and released on a $10,000.00 bond.

FCSO Hosts Follow-Up Domestic Violence Summit

Oct 20, 2017 - The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office hosted a follow-up Domestic Violence Summit on Friday, three-and-a-half months after the kick-off Summit Sheriff Rick Staly initiated. Over sixty people filled the meeting room at the Hilton Garden Inn in Palm Coast to hear the reports from five sub-committees that formed from the June summit.
