ABOUT THE CASE

In March 2020, deputies responded to multiple complaints about a suspicious vehicle parked at Waterfront Park in Palm Coast. There, deputies located an abandoned pickup truck.

An investigation revealed that Daniel Kriz was the last known driver of the truck, which belonged to his brother, and had driven the truck from New York to Florida in December 2019.

On March 14, 2020, Daniel's brother picked up the truck and filed a missing persons report the next day. An investigation found that Daniel was last seen on Feb. 5, 2020, leaving a gas station on Main Street in Daytona Beach, which he visited shortly after leaving Froggy's Saloon.

Daniel has no known ties to Flagler County.
