ABOUT THE CASE

Robert Picard was reported missing on Sept. 20, 1997, after he had not been seen for several weeks. Upon investigation, detectives found a large amount of dried blood inside Robert's home on West County Road 2006 in Bunnell, as well as evidence suggesting a body may have been dragged from the residence. A suspect, who was a juvenile at the time, was developed, and it was discovered that he had burglarized Robert's home prior to his disappearance.

Robert's body has never been found, but rumors throughout the years are that it was disposed of in or around Dead Lake in the western part of Flagler County.
